Interview with Alejandro Mosquera, Director of EGT Spain
Mr. Mosquera, EGT’s gaming equipment is very popular in Spain, with 2024 being a particularly fruitful year for the local office. What is the key to success in a country like Spain, where the autonomous communities have different regulations?
One of the keys to our success lies in our ability to adapt our products to the market and to the specific regulations of each Autonomous Community, which is becoming increasingly important. We have worked to be more flexible and faster in meeting all legal and technical requirements, as well as player preferences. Additionally, our focus on innovation and quality has allowed us to offer solutions that not only comply with regulations but also exceed the expectations of local operators and gaming audience.
Please tell us more about the most important installations you have recently accomplished. Are there any upcoming large deliveries or interesting projects you would like to share with us?
Recently, we have installed our new Gods & Kings Link Jackpot for gaming halls at important clients such as Grupo Orenes and Trébol in various locations in the Murcia region. We are closely monitoring the implementation of Be United, which will be a major quality boost, bringing together this new product with our bestseller, Bell Link Plus, which continues to expand to different regions across the country.
As a novelty, the transition to the Exciter IV platform represents a true advancement in our gaming solution portfolio, thanks to its graphical and processing capabilities, allowing us to have more efficient and robust installed products.
What are the products from EGT's portfolio that arouse the greatest interest among Spanish operators and players? Which of the new developments do you think have the most potential?
Among the products that generate the most interest are our multigame and progressive jackpots in the gaming hall segment, such as Gods and Kings Link, Bell Link, and the linked jackpot system Be United. These developments have been very well received for their ability to offer exciting and diverse gaming experiences. Regarding the latest solutions from our portfolio, the new Zhao Cai Shuang Yu progressive, which we showcased as a novelty at ICE this year housed in the spectacular Phoenix 50 V cabinet, has great potential to become a market favorite.
Regarding the casino area, Sheng Sheng Bu Xi, our multi-level solution combining different bonuses, will undoubtedly be our leading product for this year.
Finally, the emergence of our EGT brand in the digital market with the X-Nave platform will be a key differential aspect for us this year in the national market, which will consolidate our position not only in the land-based sector but also online.
Last year, EGT's office in Spain moved to a new location in Madrid. How did you come to this decision and what advantages has it brought?
The decision to move to a new location in Madrid responds to the need to accommodate our growth and improve the operational efficiency. The new location provides us with a larger and more modern space, which facilitates a better collaboration between our teams while enabling us to give our clients more agile service. In addition, being in a strategic location in Madrid guarantees us greater proximity to our partners and key clients, who are always welcome to our showroom where they can see and test all the new products from our portfolio.
How do you evaluate your participation in ICE Barcelona? Has it been successful for you and your team? What do you think about the relocation of the event to Spain?
Our participation in ICE Barcelona has been a resounding success. It provided us with an excellent opportunity to present our innovations and strengthen our relationships with clients and partners. The relocation of the event to Spain has been very positive, as it positions the country as an important center of the gaming industry in Europe and facilitates the participation of local stakeholders.
EGT Spain has recently been distinguished with the prestigious 'Company of the Year' award from the authoritative local media AZARplus. Congratulations! What does this recognition mean to you?
This prize is a great honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. It reflects our commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. It motivates us to continue raising our standards and keep offering the products and services with the highest quality in the Spanish market.
What are your goals and plans for development for the rest of the year?
This year, we plan to expand our presence in the Spanish market by introducing new gaming solutions and enhancing our collaborations with local operators, especially in regions where we previously had no presence. Over the past two years, we have started to boost the brand in the gaming hall market, leading to increased demand for our products and, most importantly, growing trust from our customers, who encourage us to continue along this path.
We are also focused on strengthening our digital offering to meet emerging market trends. Additionally, we continue to invest in research and development to ensure that our developments remain innovative and relevant to our customers.
