Gergana Yaneva is taking the lead of the new EGT office in Spain
Aug 21, 2015Gergana Yaneva is the head of the recently opened office of Euro Games Technology in Barcelona, Spain. The company undertook this step toward its further more sustainable growth in the region after several very successful local installations of its P-24/24 Up slot cabinet and the received warm welcome by the Spanish operators and players. The new sales and service center of EGT is the 17th in the corporate dealership network around the world. It will cover also the area of Italy, Ireland, Malta and Portugal. "The Spanish market has always been of interest to us, due to the fact that it is one of the biggest in Europe with its over 200,000 gaming machines, placed around the country,” said Gergana Yaneva, director of EGT - Spain. “The competition is expectedly very intensive, but we are confident in our brand’s success, moreover the received feedback from our customers has been more than promising."
Along with the P-24/24 Up cabinet with Premier Multi-3 mix, within the next months EGT will also be able to deliver another multigame library to the country – the Premier Multi-4 of 45 video slots, cards, roulettes and Keno/Bingo games. The recognized four-level progressive jackpot system Egypt Quest is undergoing a homologation for Spain, as well. For the local AWP market, the R&D slot department of the company is developing a new gaming cabinet and a software mix that will be the surprise at EGT’s booth at this year’s ExpoJoc exhibition in Valencia. The interactive content of Euro Games Technology is also about to be introduced in the region, having already entered over 20 jurisdictions around the world, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Georgia, Suriname, etc.
“We are so far partnering with important casinos in Spain. Our first installation of the P-24/24 Up was in Casino de Barcelona of Group Peralada, which carries out its gaming activities in several countries, and our Premier Multi-3 game mix was perceived by their players as affordable and attractive. The gaming director of Gran Casino de Bilbao, an establishment of EGASA, where the slot model was presented subsequently, shared that the library of our games and the cabinet’s distinctive look, ergonomic features and easy navigation had had an immediate enticing effect on the patrons. Our most recent deal with Gran Casino Costa Brava cemented that opinion, as there the players were queuing to try our machines and soon after that kept on returning repeatedly to them. We will work toward retaining the high recognition of our products in future,” explained Mrs. Yaneva.
Gergana Yaneva has more than 4 years of experience in business development strategies and has worked in the gaming industry for two years, devoting them entirely to EGT. Her sales success record in Spain, Italy, Ireland, Malta and Portugal accelerated the plans of the company to set foot permanently in the region, bringing her for the managing role. “I am proud of taking the lead of this office,” – shared Mrs. Yaneva. “I enjoy the dynamic nature of my work and in Spain I will able to be closer to our customers than ever before. I greatly appreciate my contact with them. It keeps me updated on the new technologies, the modern trends in players’ demands and the overall situation in the gaming industry.”
The establishment of a consistent local sales and technical team in a short span of time and the delivery of innovative gaming products and reliable pre- and post-sales services will be among the main priorities of Mrs. Yaneva, as a director of EGT - Spain. “We will be adhering to the core EGT values and good practices and will hold our customers’ satisfaction at the center of our activity. This has always proved to be a winning approach,” she concluded.
Spain is an important stage in EGT’s further advancement in Europe
Aug 04, 2015Yogonet interview of Stanislav Stanev, sales & marketing director at EGT
EGT's P-24/24 cabinet has had remarkable success since it was launched and recently you made your second installation in Spain. Why is Spain a relevant market for EGT?
Spain is an important stage in EGT’s further advancement in Europe, especially if we take into consideration how big the local market is in the casino and AWP segment. For just about a month we succeeded to make two installations in the country and there is every reason to believe that our products will keep having a very good reception in future. In addition one of our most successful progressive jackpot systems - Egypt Quest, and the Premier Multi-4 game mix of 45 various titles are currently undergoing homologation for Spain, so very soon we will be able to widen our product lineup for the local players.
Where else are you planning to expand the product?
Our cabinet P-24/24 Up from Premier series has already been presented to almost all EGT’s markets and has become the most preferred slot model of the company. It was recently nominated among the top 10 land-based casino products in the world from Global Gaming Awards 2015 competition. Certainly, there are still countries where we plan on launching it in near future, like Slovakia and Chile to name a few, but their number is relatively small. So our main goal now is to make our Premier family even stronger and in this regard some new slots are on their way to meet our customers and players, like P-24/24 St Slim, P-27/27 St, and P-27/32H St. I am confident that these upcoming models will continue the success of P-24/24 Up, adding many new installations globally.
Several Belgian casino websites chose to launch EGT Interactive's content. What other business opportunities are you seeing in iGaming?
EGT Interactive is penetrating the Belgium market both with custom-made games that perfectly fit to local players’ specific tastes and with our online versions of company’s traditional land-based titles. A business opportunity for us in the country is to become one of its major industry suppliers. We are also planning to introduce ourselves to more regions in Europe in foreseeable future.
While our expansion in Europe is a primary goal, we are also beginning to distribute EGT’s interactive content in another continent – Africa. So the generic strategy for this business unit’s range of action is to go global, following the steps of our slot products.
Casino operators are betting big on skill-based games and non-gambling attractions. What does EGT do in order to cater to changes in trends, in this constantly-evolving industry?
Skill-based gaming attracts specific kind of users, whose incentives are not only to test their luck, but also to improve their level results. These are mainly the young players that are accustomed to video games. While the skill-based gambling adheres to the tastes of the “digital natives”, it is somewhat hard to be conceived by more adult generations and it is not their preferred choice. I wouldn’t say that the majority of casino operators are betting big on the service. Some of our customers are not willing to invest in skill-based gaming, because of their casino patrons’ tastes and demographic profile. Others are still researching on the opportunity. EGT is more oriented to different kind of entertainment in the casinos, like jackpot systems and slots, or multiplayer solutions of various games, like roulettes, cards, dice, etc. that would amuse all players.
